I'm disappointed with the Catered Affair logo -- in itself, it wouldn't make me rush to see the show. But the reviews were encouraging enough on the West Coast that I'm picking up a ticket when I'm in the city this Saturday.
On a totally unrelated topic, has anyone seen Adding Machine? Times and Post were positive -- I don't have anything else to do during the day on Saturday, so maybe that would be a possibility. Anyone out there who can give me their opinion(s)? Again, sorry I strayed from the topic at hand. Jay*, you do a GREAT job sharing those Playbill covers with us -- often WAY before anyone's seen the show. Thank you again.
It's nice, but I still want to call it "TAXI" instead of "A Catered Affair."
I like the ACA playbill because the yellow taxi goes well with the yellow "PLAYBILL" logo.

What about when they turn into black and white?
I'm not crazy about the poster. They were probably going for the 50s, and it just looks dated.
I like it but... they should be on an actual taxi than just the sign.
A Catered Affair looks better on the playbill than it does standing alone, but it's still just not compelling. I like the idea and the style a lot, but something's not quite right, and I think it's probably the enormous word TAXI. This is a Serino Coyne show too -- I guess I just expected better. Maybe time and ticket sales will prove me wrong.

Country Girl looks like they spent 5 minutes on Photoshop.
Boeing Boeing looks just as great as the London logo. If anyone can link my London trip thread, you can see it.
In The Heights is still the best of the year

ok for Xanadu I dont know why they had to make a new one. I love that picture, but it looks ugly in black and white.
I don't like the Scottish Play (the Playbill, I mean)... it looks like a cheap photoshop job...
They all suck except for Les Liasons Dangereuses. I never liked Xanadu's new artwork, and black and white makes it worse.

Roundabout and MTC are the cheap non-profits.
Give me LTC any day over either of those two.
Why was there a difference between the two playbills? (one being b/w & other clored) but its the same company- roundabout which always go for b/w playbills?
^^ Is that mean that the 39 Steps at Cort is not being produced by Roundabout anymore???
J*
Yeah, the Cort 39 STEPS is a commercial run.
