But, SallyBrown, who is to say they
don't know what's going on? Or, rather, who are any of us (me included) to say that we know better than anyone else?
All art is subjective and everyone is going to get something different out of it.
Edited to Add: And even if the film does open up the floodgates to a bunch of kids who don't get the "true message" (which itself is subjective), there's going to have to be at least one person out there who never saw the show, knows nothing about it and sees the movie and
does get something out of it.
And finally, just because others don't get what you (and I mean a collective "you") get out if it doesn't negate what it is you do get out of it.
