Love every second of it. Can't wait for the movie.
Meryl Streep is brilliant in her dramatic roles but I love her the best when she's in a comedy...she's hilarious.

It seems like Walters will be pretty funny in this as well.
I am loving the ABBA-esque costumes and make-up during the performance sequences, they're fabulous.

This movie looks overacted to the extreme of extremes.
But there's no way I'm not going to see it.

Mateo, you're right...the look of the movie is really something. Beautiful cinematography........the blue/aqua colors of the ocean and the white crispness of the church.
Bustopher, if you think that you can do better with the making of this film......go for it....absolutely. In the meantime, nobody cares if you are going to see it or not.

As much as I dislike the show, I always thought it would make a terrific film.
Looks to be true!
Thanks for the link.

If you screencap the super Hi-Res trailer - you could make a Dom Wallpaper.

Yet another trailer for a movie musical that doesn't give any indication that it's a musical. I know that Sweeney Todd did the same thing -- did Hairspray's original marketing go in the same direction?
ETA: OK, there is dancing in the trailer, but for the most part, it looks like they're dancing at a party, not in a musical number. They show Meryl with a microphone, but it's clear that she's performing on a stage within that scene. No one in the trailer sings with their voice audible on the soundtrack of the trailer. If we didn't know this was a musical already, I'm not sure it would be jumping out at us.

I don't know....the dancing ensemble MIGHT tick off audiences. And the dancing Meryl. And the dancing Pierce. And the Meryl belting her butt off. Those things might show people.
