Yet another trailer for a movie musical that doesn't give any indication that it's a musical. I know that Sweeney Todd did the same thing -- did Hairspray's original marketing go in the same direction?
ETA: OK, there is dancing in the trailer, but for the most part, it looks like they're dancing at a party, not in a musical number. They show Meryl with a microphone, but it's clear that she's performing on a stage within that scene. No one in the trailer sings with their voice audible on the soundtrack of the trailer. If we didn't know this was a musical already, I'm not sure it would be jumping out at us.
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?"
"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
