I just thought of this question: To anyone who went to the auditions, was there a variety of races there since the notice said "any race"?

There more than likely will not be ANYONE under the age of 18 in the cast because legally, it would make more sense for the roles of Henry, Natalie and Gabe to not have to be tutored throughout the tour. It's too much of a hassle to cast minors when they are not really needed.

I would really like to go to the audition but im not an equity member do you think I should go anyway? And what are the chances of them seeing non equity?

^ Considering that a WHOLE LOT of people showed up to the Broadway audition (Equity AND non-Equity) and since national tours probablly have more benefits, I highly doubt it. But I could be wrong.

I'm 18 and non-equity and I recently auditioned for Natalie for the tour. So if you're non-equity, definately go! Just make sure you get there super early and you're are so much more likely to be seen! Good luck everyone!

i'm considering going in on thursday, i'm non-eq but am getting my card this summer through summer stock work--should i bring a copy of my contract in and explain to maybe get seen faster?
also....what kind of songs are people bringing in? i can't seem to decide!

desiree - bringing in the paperwork will most likely get you in before non union actors. At the auditions in March, we weren't sure if I would have my card in time (we did) but AEA and a friend in the buisness told us having the paperwork saying I'd earned the card would get me bumped up, so I'm sure your reason would too.

If you're EMC (between 1 and 50 points toward your card I believe) you can be put on a standby list to be seen if someone Equity who scheduled an audition time doesn't show up or if they have time after seeing all the scheduled Equity people. You'll be seen after Equity but before non-Equity.
