Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

I plan on rushing on Friday..I plan on getting into Penn Station around 7: 50..By the time I get to the theater it will prob be around 8- 8: 05..Will I still have a chance at getting rush tickets?

thanks

You might have a chance, but plan on sitting in the boxes. You might want to stick around until the box office opens and check for standing room and $36.50 mezz tickets (which are actually a great view).

If you don't mind spending the extra 11 bucks, go with the last row mezzanine seats. They really have a FANTASTIC view and don't detract at all from the intimate feeling that the show has.

I think you'll have a decent chance actually. I rushed last week on Friday and got there at about 8:10 and we got the last tickets.

If you can get there 15 minutes earlier, I highly suggest it.

I plan on taking a train that gets into Penn at around 7 27..will that give me enough time to get to the theater to def have rush tickets?

re: Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

I have the same problem as you. My train would get into Penn around the same time but I'm debating if I should take the chance. I'm trying to figure out the best day to rush. I'm thinking of either a Monday or Thursday. Good luck on Friday!

I went this morning and at 7:20AM I was the 14th person in line. I got box seats, and I was almost the last, if not the last person to get tickets. I had no idea it would be THAT crazy!

re: Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

Sorry, I haven't been following NEXT TO NORMAL rush threads. So basically if you don't show up before 8am, you won't get tickets? That's crazy, good for them, but yeah it means I'm not getting rush tickets.

Wow, and it was a wet morning! Yeah, I found that 8am was the latest you could get there a week ago. I presume it's become harder post-Tonys.

Sounds highly unlikely if on a rainy day in the middle of the week someone who got there at 7:20 barely got tickets.

If you wanted to be cautious, I'd guess no. Again, last Friday I got the last ones getting there at 8, and it seems it's gotten more tough since then from what I've heard.

More and more schools are out now ~ it seems like NYC public schools are about the only ones still going. That factors in as well.

If you're training it in, then yeah. But can I suggest trying on a tues-thurs? You may be less likely to be disappointed...

re: Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

It's so close you will probably get there just as fast walking. Best of luck Steven.

re: Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

ahhhh..and i am so bad with directions..(ive been to the city many times..just suck with directions)..

anyone wanna walk me through where i have to go walking out of penn to get to the Booth?...

re: Next To Normal rush post Tonys?

It correctly states the Booth in the addresses boxes.

It's really not hard...a straight shot up 7th or 8th and a turn (left if from 7th, right if from 8th) onto 45th. Really couldn't be easier. :)
