Yeah Hunchback at least for now is dead, Ciara just got a gig on a new CW series anyways. http://www.latinpost.com/articles/45634/20150401/cw-flash-season-1-episodes-air-date-spoilers-ciara-renée.htm

To be clear, what was said, was an immediate / fast transfer was not in the works. There is still buzz about the next step of the development.

Do you have a clue on what it is? School licensing?

Hunchback NOT transferring makes me very sad. I think it holds more weight than people think. I am a Junior in high school and all of the people I have told about Hunchback all loved the movie and said they would love to see it as a musical. Just because it was a flop at the box office, doesn't mean it hasn't gained a cult like status. I could see it doing very well. As for Ciara, anyone can be replaced. I love her and think she's amazing in the show, but she's not the glue that holds the show together.

"Falsettos is opening at the Walter Kerr Spring 2016"
It is statements like this that annoy people, Philly. While financially, I agree that it looks like if any show in a Jujamcyn theater were to close within the next few months, it will most likely be A Gentleman's Guide, the sheer insistence by you that it will is both rude to those who are involved as well as off-putting to others on this board. In addition, just because Roth is involved, it does not mean that it will go in a Jujamcyn house. For example, one of the lead producers on School or Rock is the Nederlanders.
As for Ever After, there are many who think that the show is not yet ready for a commercial run on Broadway. However, with the people involved, it would not surprise me if it would be pushed through. You seem to have fallen off the Waitress train recently, as well as you also are forgetting about shows like Can Can, Top Hat, Bright Star, The Crucible, or the 10+ other shows that are in various stages of development all around the country that could potentially go into the Nederlander or any other of the Broadway houses.

But you aren't speculating. You are stating as fact. Speculation, as per the dictionary, "is guesses about something that is not known". Saying "I"M GUESSING Falsettos is going in to the Walter Kerr", "I'M ASSUMING...", "I'M PREDICTING...", or even what I usually go with "THE COMMON THOUGHT IS..." is speculation. What you are doing is stating something a 100% confirmed fact.

Could we see a movie star-led limited engagement play here for the fall, and then a musical in the Spring?
Dear Evan Hansen?

Dear Evan Hansen really needs a small theatre, I think. When I saw it, I kept thinking of Second Stage. I've only been to the Nederlander twice (Rent and Newsies), but it might be just on the biggish side of okay for this show.

No, it's not better it's still just the same. You pompously changed what you initially wrote so that it would appease one other poster on here. The fact of the matter is that when you say something like Falsettos WILL move into the Walter Kerr is not coming off as speculation. It's coming off as idiotic. You don't have any insider sources like you claim, and, as I believe as I tried to state earlier in another thread, it only makes you look worse than you already do if you blame them for false information because you were the one who chose to use it. Going back to the academia example I gave. If you're writing an essay for a class, and you use wikipedia as your source and it's inaccurate, it's not going to make wikipedia look bad for not giving accurate information, it's going to make you look bad for using it as a source. Specially since no one, in their right mind, in any level of teaching would accept wikipedia as an accurate source of information. That's a given in school and just like with your friends who give you false information, it makes you and only you look bad since you decided to post as fact that which isn inaccurate.

I'm guessing it will be a musical about impoverished New Yorkers who sing about moving to Santa Fe. That's what the Nederlander does, right?

LOL OKAY Islander.
1. Wiki is a reliable source
2. I do have insider sources
3. In another thread you tried telling me off, and said i was wrong when I said that someone told me that The King and I can only run for a certain amount of time cause its not for profit. Oh and guess what, you were WRONG!

1. No, it is not. Kindly google wikipedia and reliable source and accelerate your learning curve on this one.
2. I don't know or care. One thing you learn quite quickly in this business is that a shocking number of "reliable sources" are just gossip-spreaders and thus about as reliable as wikipedia, viz., not very.
3. This is an astonishingly convoluted comment to parse but (a) I don't know or care what someone told you since (per #2) that does not mean what they told you is reliable and (b) it is absolutely untrue that "The King and I can only run for a certain amount of time cause [sic] its [sic] not for profit." There are three possibilities: (a) the person who told you that was wrong, (b) "someone told you" is your euphemism for "I made it up" or (c) you accurately heard that the show has to switch from a LORT contract to a production contract after its "originally scheduled run at the Vivian Beaumont Theater" per Rule 75(A)(1 and 2) of the LORT contract and mangled what you heard into what you said.

As someone who is a teacher and friends with other teachers (mostly middle and high school, one elementary and one who's finishing up his doctorate to be a professor) I can tell you that no teacher accepts wikipedia as a reliable source. The main reason being is that in the world of academia Wikipedia's a joke because anyone can edit it. Hell, you can be doing a research paper on Shakespeare and find and put in your paper that he was raised in the money house of the Bronx Zoo. That's why wikipeida is a joke in the world of academia.
And, you said, with regards to King and I, that it can only run a given length of time before it has to close. Not the case, it was proven otherwise by a third party and you were wrong. Yet again, another example of you mincing words to get the end result that fits what you like the most.
With regards to having "inside dope" to anything Broadway related? well I have doubts about that. But, it's not whether or not that is the issue, it's the simple fact that if you do, you go about it in such a dickish fashion. You insist that you can't be wrong, after all, if information that you post is wrong it's not your fault, but rather the fault of the person who gave it to you. When you give wrong information, don't throw this "other person" under the bus. Grow a pair and admit that it was you, and only you who was wrong because you are the one that posted any info. Not your friend.

Oh really? Did you get that from one of your "inside sources", Philly? I have some sources that are inside me right now, that was a nice plate of chicken supreme and roasted potatoes last night.

no i said that it can only run a certain amount of time because its not for profit. And that is true ! YOU are the one thats wrong.
and I'm sure cats will go into a shubert house. Most likely the winter garden in a few years after School of Rock closes
