Next to Normal's official twitter (twitter.com/n2nbroadway) posted this message:

Over the last 12 wks N2N has had the web all a-Twitter! Stay tuned next week when we announce an exciting + groundbreaking new project.

What do you think this could mean? Will Fugobi Broadway 3-D film it? That's the only thing I can think of. What are your thoughts?

Don't get too excited. Rock musicals are the WORST with advertising 'groundbreaking projects' that turn out to be nothing at all.

Like when SPRING AWAKENING announced their "groundbreaking" online lottery?

Okay, I discovered today a new next to normal twitter feed:
twitter.com/n2nintermission
because nobody has ever tweeted their thoughts about a show during intermission.

I read somewhere that Spring Awakening advertised an announcement made on the day of last year's Tony's, so naturally, everybody expected a big performance for them. They were just changing the rush to a digital rush done through text messaging.

EDIT: I just realized that as I was typing this, somebody posted about this digital rush. Just so I don't look stupid, I had to mention that. Updated On: 8/1/09 at 01:59 PM

Maybe they're finally switching to a lotto and ditching rush.

Even if that were true, what exactly about that is groundbreaking? Unless they're giving a way a lot of tickets or something.

I read on a Next to Normal forum that they're going to switch to lotto when "the buzz from rush goes down". That might be a while considering people have been saying you have to get there by six A.M. to be guaranteed a ticket.

I still think it's going to be their second twitter account, but I am kind of hoping for (but not expecting) some sort of contest. I think that could be interesting.

Let's hope it's something a little more exciting then "the first musical to perform on twitter!"
