Posted: 2/28/11 at 9:19pmUse hotels.com and tripadvisor.com to help you shop around. Pay closer attention to the number of stars given by the people who have actually stayed there, rather than the class assigned to that particular hotel. (They lose stars if they don't have a restaurant on the premises, or a workout room. So who cares about either of those?) Just reading this thread made me check into the renovated Milford Plaza and I got a single there in June for $159.00 a night. Can't beat that! A double room will cost a little more, but it shouldn't be all that much.
A click for life.

Posted: 3/1/11 at 8:52pmwhich of these is better? The Milford Plaza, or The Apple Core Hotel @ Times Sqaure? The reviews on the Milford were all complaining about small rooms, bad water and heat problems, and a mean staff?

I've stayed at both. Hotel @ Times Square is definitely cleaner and more modern rooms.
However, the staff @ Milford were much more friendly than Hotel @ Times Square.
