Nicole Parker to return to the role of Elphaba in 1st National Tour.

I guess since no one has created this topic yet I will do it. In case, no one already knew, it was announced today that Nicole Parker, who played the role of Elphaba in 'Wicked' on Broadway from January to July 2009 will return to role in the 1st National tour this May. She will star alongside former Broadway co-star Alli Mauzey as Glinda, and they will be joined by P.J. Benjamin, who also played the Wizard alongside both of them.

I really enjoyed her on Mad TV. I was hoping that she would find another project after 'People in the Picture', but I am glad she is returning to the role. Plus, she and Mauzey have great chemistry. They were hilarious on their broadway.com 2009 Tony video.

This might actually make me drive to San Diego and see the show! I've wanted to see her Elphaba.
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999

Yes. I wonder if she's going into the Broadway production. She's very good in the role.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I am glad. I didn't care for Mamie Parris one bit so the production should be better for it.
“I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” ``oscar wilde``
