Nikki Renee Daniels On As Fantine Jan 14th

I wanted to give everyone in NYC the heads up...

Nikki Renee Daniels just posted a bulletin saying she will be going on as Fantine in Les Miserables for the first time at tomorrow's matinee.

If anyone is interested or able, PLEASE go and check her out and report back with a review.

Nikki is a phenomenal talent, and I wish her all the best her first time out. She is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in this role, and may this be the start of many great things to come for her.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

So Amazing, she constitutes Capitalizing a word in the middle of a Sentence that doesn't warrant Capitalization.

Gawd, how awesome those doors just SWUNG open for her!

I remember coining her as "the sassy black girl" at the stage door of LESTAT during its San Francisco run. She was ensemble.

Now look at her go! Props!

Yayy Nikki! Best of luck!
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

Ummm..... I really wish people woulnd't do that. Does anyone ever say "the sassy [insert any race but black] girl"? Not often.

Does anyone know if Haviland Stillwell has gone on yet...or is this the first time that Daphne has called out?

LesMizazz, this is the first time Daphne has called out.

Nikki (who is the first understudy and who takes preference over Haviland) will also be going on for two weeks between Daphne leaving and Lea Salonga coming in.

What a coincidence!

Just the other day, I called you "[something] white guy"!

She is a wonderful actress/singer! She was terrific as Belle in Beauty & the Beast, and was a standout as part of the ensemble in the horrible Lestat! I would love to see her do Belle on Broadway, or maybe play Elphaba in Wicked.
