Nominees for the non-Tony category: Replacement Performance

Just wondering who the Tony nominees would be if the REPLACEMENT category were still around: Estelle Parsons? (who's never won)Other ideas?

Um, like that category was never accepted/approved by the Tony Award Committee.

It was only mentioned and petitioned but never actually became a category.

Although she will be totally fierce, you can't really nominate Faith yet - wait till tonight when her first reviews come back.

Estelle Parsons should get an honorary Tony Award for the brilliant, fascinating performance she is giving in AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY...and Amy Morton should be awarded the one she was robbed out of last season
But really, I do think a special Tony for Parsons should be considered.

I completely agree about Parsons. And she's even going out on tour with the show. She 100% deserves a Special Tony.

I liked Parson better than Deana, personally. I also really like Joanna Day, but I liked Morton better.

Would Tommy Bachelor be eligible?
