The show is the 7 PM show. They added this show for John and cancelled the Weds evening show for it. I am sure WRQ can explain more about this.
Oh and working on a BWW hangout before. I will keep everyone posted.
I feel so sad now. Get well soon Norbert!
Sorry to hear about this. Wishing the fella nothing but health happiness & success.
Feel Bedda soonest!
Nah, that's all there is to it really. Since they are doing two Sunday shows, they couldn't do 9 shows in the week and got rid of the Wed. evening performance.
Not 100% positive I can hang before, but we'll see.
such a bummer...i'm taking some friends from work on the 29th, i hope he's there!

Norbert performed in today's matinee. They were filming it for the Lincoln Center archives, so he couldn't miss it. He seemed in very good spirits at the stage door, even though he only mouthed words to people.
Thank you very much Yankeesfan for the update. Did you see the show?

I was actually passing by at the time, but I saw him outside and wished him well.
That's good to hear. I hope our well wishing is working.
I'm going this Saturday to the show for the 2nd time and am pretty much positive that I won't see Norbert because he'll be saving up his voice and energy for John's last. Do most people think the same as I do?

Norbert was in the Wednesday matinee and was AMAZING! You could tell he had had time off because he had more energy than either one of the other two times I saw the show. He went back in after signing after the matinee so I assumed he did the evening show too. I asked him at the stage door if he was feeling better and he nodded very happily and mouthed "thanks for asking." You would never have known he was having any problems at the show... that's for sure!
Mimi, there was no evening show last night. Norbert just usually goes back in to go out a different exit when he leaves. Glad to hear he was great.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the show, wickedmimi. Looks like he's doing better at least.

They didn't switch the schedule for John, lol ... the change is due to the MLK holiday weekend, simple as that. Just happens to work out that Sunday's also John's last performance day, thus the assumption people are making.
Anyway, I hope Norbert's better and is taking good care of himself.

they were filming DRS for the Lincoln Center archives....the performing arts library there.
Bwayondabrain, I am not sure anyone knows for now. The only date I could think of is July 23rd because that is when Greg Jbara's contract is up.

Since Norbert is due to perform this evening at John Lithgow's last show, does that mean he will not be at the 2 pm matinee today? (of course that's when I have tickets)
I saw the show yesterday at the matinee and it was fantastic! Norbert was not in but Joe Cassidy was, and he was fabulous! I had seen Joe back in November and was happy when I saw his name posted (not that i didn't want to see Norbert, of course I did, but if Norbert wasn't there then Joe was my next choice). Him and John just did a great job together and the whole audience started going nuts right after Joe said "And I think we still deserve a hand!" After the show John came out to sign which was really nice of him since it was a matinee and he was really really nice about it, not that i expected anything different! Anyway, Greg Jbara asked Joe as he was leaving if he was performing tonight(meaning last night) and he said that Norbert was in, which I hope is a good sign that he's feeling better!
i know a few performers who got nodes and had to go through with surgery and everything, and after their recovery their voices were better than ever! so i'm sure Norbert will be fine:)
All u lucky folks seeing the show 2nite be sure to post!. Any chance the "no photos" rule might not be enforced like when Kristen , Norb And Joel left Wicked? *hint*(crossing fingers)

There was never a no photos rule. You can take pictures with them, of them, and no problems.
when i saw drs the week of christmas, i aske norbert for his pic but he leaned in and said that if he took one with me he had to take one with everybody. so the next second he smiles towards my mom's camera and we got a pic of him. you can't get pics with some of them.
Yankeefan. I think sabrelady is referring to taking pictures during the actual performance which is never allowed. At Wicked performers last shows, the audiences members tend to feel its okay to break this rule because "Kristin Chenoweth will never be in it again", however the theatre didn't "approve it."
