the show was great on sunday! i was thrilled that the whole cast was in!
i really like pryce in the role...although i don't think that his comic timing is as good as lithgow's was, he obviously is newer to the role and that will come in time. i love his voice and presence.
my non-theatre going friends really enjoyed it, so overall it was a great day!
Um...
Norbert Leo Butz
Jonathan Pryce
Sherie Rene Scott
Joanna Gleason
Looks like four stars to me.
If you're referring to the exclusion of Greg Jbarra and Mylinda Hull... well, they're not nearly as well known as the others.

Right...which explains why one of DRS' funny ads in front of the theatre says 6 stars and in small print under are all in the show...
Even if you wanna say Sara Gettelfinger/Mylinda Hull only has a cameo, how could you acknowledge the other 4 mentioned without acknowledging Greg Jbara? All 5 of their names even are even billed above the title! DRS has a funny joke ad in front of their theatre that says 6 stars!!...are in the show. I happened to go to that Wed matinee and I may not even have noticed that someone posted 4 stars until they said just Norbert and I thought no Greg was in too, and then I realized...I mean, on that subject, he took a vacation, has had perhaps a couple off days here or there and that's it...no one in DRS has had the attendance he has, again why the way it was said just struck me...
I mean, this isn't even such a personal thing w/ me like I may say how could someone leave out the ensemble or whatever, but just...I swear I've never heard 4 of the 5 "leads" acknowledged as 4. It was kinda surprising/shocking to read that.
Edit...you just added your own edit, initially you just mentioned the 4...by that token, then when Lithgow was in the show, wouldn't it make sense to say the ONE star is out? I mean let's face it John is a lot more well known than Norbert, than that would make him the star, despite you know...Norbert winning the Tony...that makes sense. (Besides, Greg isn't exactly a no-name)
Even if people going in not knowing who Norbert Leo Butz and Greg Jbara are, they certainly will by the time the show is over

Norbert is out tonight, February 2.
Sir Liir, Per Greg Jbara's webcam, any idea why Norbs was in LA last week? His TV deal, perhaps?
Also, if anyone saw Sherie's last or is planning on seeing Rachel York soon, please post! Thanks.
didn't Sherie extend to the 19th of February before she leaves for a few months?
Also, if Norbert was not in for a certain show, i was wondering if people could say who they saw in the role, just curious. thanks!
Norbert was in today and back from LA. I am not 100% positive but it is something to do with his sitcom. Anyway, today was Sherie's "last" and it was the same high quality production as always. Nothing really special except for the fact Norbert has been quite good in getting Mr. Pyrce to break up during the Ruprecht scene hehe
Greg confirmed that Norb was in LA for his sitcom. I don't want him to do a show, sigh.
I saw the show for the matinee yesterday, and I saw Joe Cassidy in for Norbert.
Anyone think Norbs could have easily done the part played by Dan Butler on "Frasier"? (Bulldog?)...I think seeing Norbs weekly on TV would be great!
Sorry to bring this back up, but I was just wondering if anyone knows if Norbert is back doing the show regularly now, since he was off for a while?
Thanks!
It appears he is. From the boards and chats, I have only heard him missing a matinee here or there. Perhaps hes taking them off to rest the voice or the very cold weather is a factor. Hopefully he's about 90-100%.
