Didnt plenty of big names tour their shows in the golden age? People like Mary Martin, John Raitt, Ethel Merman, Carol Channing did plenty of tours right?

Now things seem to have changed a bit. We dont have Broadway stars with name value beyond NYC and they dont tour either.

Julie Andrews was going to do some cities with Victor/Victoria after her Broadway run, but unfortunately, that's when her vocal troubles started and it went on without her.

In the olden days, stars toured I believe. Now, it seems they do not. Perhaps there is finally more money for big names in NYC than ever before?

Back to topic, I will work very hard to find out more information about this and post it on the site when I can get some more concrete information.

There is one strange thing to look at. The tour begins Aug. 3rd. If he is doing the tour, I'd imagine his last day would be earlier in July than later. Maybe he and Greg are leaving the same day after all?

This would be my dream come true. I love Norbert and when I came to New York to see him he was out. He was the only one missing from the show and it would complete me if I could finally see Norbert.

I'm sure he won't be with the tour when it hits Providence/Boston (late February - mid March), but I'm still happy he's doing it.

You are right shesamarshmallow, the tour may not come to SF this season. If it comes, it will happen late Summer or Fall. Mainly the reason for is that THE BEST OF BROADWAY just announced their 2006-2007 season and DRS is not on it. Too bad, I would have loved to seen it this season!

Heard from the show that Norbert is definitly NOT doing the tour. He was in talks about it at one point but it didn't work out.

DRS comes to Sacramento May 16-27, 2007. I'm not sure that's part of the same tour though.
