Can anyone please explain to me why this man has not been given a recording contract, or something. His voice is magical and I long for him to have a solo cd. So many other Broadway stars have solo cds...this makes no sense to me!! He deserves it!
Oh and yeah...if by chance he has a solo cd that I do not know about....THANKS so much for correcting me and giving me all of the information I need to obtain it. "when the battle commences..." I love that.

A solo CD from Norm would make me extremely happy.
There's always "Side Show." His "You Should Be Loved" is amazing.

I COMPLETELY agree. He needs a solo CD....
For now, I am contented with my pure Norm Lewis playlist on Itunes, which has over 50 songs.
My favorite songs (legally) recorded by Norm Lewis:
With So Little to Be Sure Of/ Who Could Be Blue
You Should Be Loved
Let the Sunshine In
Anytime
Learning to Let Go
Make Them Hear You
The Painter's Song

fyffe,
I totally agree with you!
Norm has a magnificent voice.
This man is amazing, I met
him at stage door and he is
so nice and appreciative of
what you have to say about his
performance. He told me he has
always wanted to do Les Mis and
now he has and he is just loving
it.
What a nice guy!
Does anyone know if he
has ever won a Tony?
If not, shame on the voters.
He should defintely have one.

Here's a few answers from an interivew just prior to Le Miz.

LM is keeping him pretty busy, but he's promising a new website and CD. I know he has a special spot for " We Live On Borrowed Time". He does a killer "Bu Doi" from Miss Saigon and he does an equally impressive "In Lilly's Eyes" with Craig Schulman.
I'll tell him to check BWW for a song list. LOL!

Posted: 12/15/06 at 11:04amAwesome! I love his voice too and he is such a nice guy. He talked to me for like 5 minutes after Les Mis, about Side Show and some of his other projects and he was so kind. I can't wait for his album. *praying it happens*

Posted: 12/15/06 at 11:16amHe was spectacular at Joe's Pub. And he's a class act. Ask anyone who's worked with him. A rare phenom in this biz -- beloved by everyone.

Norm is the MAN!!! I, too, met at the Les Miz stage door. I told him that I will playing Javert in a high school performance in February and he said "That's awesome. O man, we are still on then or I would have come. Once your show is done please send pictures to me at the theater." This just shows you how nice he is. Yeah im performing in Toledo, Ohio. That's 9 1/2 haours away from NYC and he still wanted to come. He so amazing!
... O yeah... he has an amazing voice too!! lol

Oh JavertJunky, you are extremely/frighteningly obsessed...
But we totally need to send him pics from our show! And a program! And maybe HoGo in a box... hopefully he'd keep her.

Hoorahhh! Norm Lewis was the first real Broadway actor I ever met in person, and he's both wonderfully talented and a really nice guy.
I will be snatching that CD up in a heartbeat.
