What a bunch of nonsense!
If this is true, I'm sure he's up for it. Did you really think some of the leads would stay with Le Miz until MacKintosh decides to pull it? When opportunity knocks in the business you know when to move on. Creating a new role in a new show is an actor's calling.
I will just get in touch with Norm and find out ..Whaz up? Till then, just relax.
i'm just sad if norm will be leaving les mis! he's such a good javert.

Aaaaah, then the world will be at ease!
The race of a persosn would only be distracting if the person themselves made it distracting. Otherwise, there should be no problem.
What about When Shanice & Lea Solonga played Eponine and her parents were white? Didn't seem to be a problem.

What's the expression about beating dead horses? It feels needed now.

Don't. Don't beat a dead horse. Its not nice. And it gets all that nasty death stink all over the BWW barn.

That's because it was the early '90s, the www wasn't around, and Fenchurch had nothing but usenet and the corkboard at Meijer's on which to flail.

FINDYOURGRAIL...why don't you go find your grail and give us all a break...I know wherever you find it, it won't be Holy...
I still think this whole race issue around casting is insane...West Side Story is the perfect example...Was Carol Lawrence a Puerto Rican?
And was Colm Wilkinson REAAAALLLLLLY French, or just fakin' it?

Clearly TT didn't get the message about dead horses, and not only has beat it, but has pounded it to the ground.
Tell me about it! He probably had a party the day they euthanized Barbaro!

He's making good points, dead horse or no.

Who is "us all"? One person on this thread is agreeing with you.
Everyone else is laughing at the joke you've both become. Honestly. Know when you're beat and just bow out gracefully. Save some of your dignity. Whatever's left, that is.

No, its the abyss of infinity this thread passed a page or two ago.
What happens when Prince Eric finds out his girlfriend's Father is Black?
Oh wait, wrong show.
SOUTH PACIFIC is coming.
Norm obviously gave the best audition, not surprisingly.
Let's hope he is good on his wheelies.
Norm can handle two chicks stuck together at the hip singing notes high enough to make your vocal chords burst. What can't he handle?

He's also survived 3 or 4 regional productions of "Dreamgirls." GO NORM! Now to see him in "The Wiz," as Tinman, and I can die happy.
If he did the wiz I'd like to see him as the Lion.. or better yet, the wiz!

His voice is too deep for either role. Both of them go way into falsetto.
