your motive for creating this thread is great, broadwaykelly. but trying to bring positivity to this board is just impossible. the thing that really DRIVES ME CRAZY (8-# !!!) is that so many of the "mature" adults on this site (some, including dgrant, notwithstanding) are the ones who start most of the bickering and childishness. for instance, findingnamo making a crack about the way i looked when i had of picture of myself as my icon. now lets look at the FACTS: im 17 years old, he's the "mature" adult- supposedly, right? and who is straying from the topic (braodway, and not my hair, correct?) and making unneccessary, rude, off-topic comments, here?
what is the point of saying a show is "disgusting", and calling it a fact? honestly, thats another great example of immaturity.
again, sorry for the rant, but im growing increasingly tired of the way things are around here, as well. i like posting with a lot of you because we all share a common interest but what is the point of starting constant arguments in message boards? disscussions? of course, the world is a better place because of our differences, but cant we be (heres that word again) MATURE about it?
so here's my list:
avenue q won best musical (fact)
avenue q deserved best musical (opinion)
idina won best actress (fact)
in a tight race, i would have been happy for any of these woman if they won (opinion)
hugh jachman is a hell of a performer (well, ok, its an opinion, but id say it is damn close to a fact)
wicked is fun, and i enjoy it, but its not great theater (opinion)
theater is subjective (fact)
