"broadway guy - wanna do the same? (I'd love you forever - and that's a long, long time!)"

Thank gawd I read that again...the first time it somehow registered in my head as "I love you long time"

I am by no means a major Wildhorn fan, but I do enjoy the scores of Pimpernel (a very underrated show in my opinion) and some of Bonnie &Clyde. I know there is much more to writing a good overall show, but I think the guy can write a catchy melody and very good song now every now and then.

I just want to know what line needs to be crossed before another thread with broadway guy contributions gets deleted? Is there a defined number of snarky posts before deletion? Threats? Now that J&H is closing can we all stop...

Foolishly staying on topic (what for, right?)-- I'm with anthony95401 here.

Much as I loathed the original JEKYL AND HYDE as well as SCARLET PIMPERNEL (worst show of the decade), I adored Act I of BONNIE AND CLYDE and much of Act II. (But please put that godawful Made in America in the hated column.)

I'd still be open to seeing the next show he comes up with (if anyone will give him the money to mount one.)

Looking back, I think Robin Phillips directing ideas ("more family friendly") was better than the terrible direction Jeff Calhoun gave this last one... which was beyond over the top.

Too bad. The score is his best, the two stars can sing it fantastically (Constantine is the second person in the world to not have an alternate), but the in-your-face direction is a bit much for a piece thats campy enough.
