Believing the hype that Wildhorn has legions of fans and that he writes for the "people." The people don't care. They think his work is bad too. And all this propaganda they've been spreading for years that there are thousands of Jekkies who will see it again and again. There aren't, and they won't.
I'm sure I'll get flamed here, but can we now say "enough is enough" and be honest about what he is -- a hack.
I like Wildhorn's music. No personal investment in it, I just find it stirring. Well - it can be; it's hardly that I like the music in every show he's ever done. But I've found moments of brilliance to appreciate.
BroadwayGuy, you do know you're the last person who should ever make that comment, don't you? Now go back and ask for the 20th time how Patina's understudy did last night.
Damn! Now I want to know what John deleted. He's always such a gentleman!
As for J&K, I have no idea how anyone sits through it. But that's just me. I assume those of you who like it have your reasons (or perhaps never had to see it with Hasselhoff).
