"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Hair (duh!)
and
THE FULL MONTY! Especially on the night when the final lighting cue (at the end of "Let It Go") mysteriously didn't come...was anybody lucky enough to be there?!

"The Color Purple" does not have nudity. Shug is wearing a body suit during the bath scene. Lion King?! Really?

THE COLOR PURPLE does have nudity. In the African dance scene that opens the second act, most of the tribal women are shirtless.

Trust me, I sat front row the first time I saw it, and a lot of those women were bare-breasted.

Color Purple dancers were definitely wearing body suits. I saw it from the first row, too. You had to look close, but they were wearing body suits.

Where there nude ensemble members in Cry-Baby. In that scene where everyone was making out and they were behind the rocks and popping up. I saw the first preview front row mezz and I def. remember seeing some nakedness, lol. Were any of the girls topless?

I had to laugh at the Lion King. I didn't think of it that way!
