Has no one from here seen this play in the last few weeks that it has been in previews? I'm curious to hear thoughts, comments, etc.

I was invited to see it the other day but couldn't go. The next day, my friend told me I should be glad I had other plans and didn't have to sit through it. But I do love Alicia and would still like to see it before it ends.

It's pretty amateur, and Silverstone's performance is laughably bad. Nice set, though. And Mudge is delivering another fine performance.

The play is severely amateur and never should have been put on stage in its current condition (it was a last minute replacement for another play), but I thought the acting -- including Silverstone, who is a fine stage performer -- elevated the experience somewhat. I still wouldn't recommend it though.

The play indeed is quite dreadful. It's almost sad. Mudge does her best with the material.

I'm surprised to hear that the play is bad. I just saw Nice Girl by Melissa Ross and thought it was excellent.

I have to disagree with everyone else here. I thought it was a really good play. The acting was great. The set was amazing. I enjoyed it MUCH more than Significant Other, who everyone else is going crazy for. I thought S.O. was a terrible play.
Of Good Stock reminded me of Crimes of the Heart.... in a very vague way.
I would recommend Of Good Stock.
