Usually the trailers hit AOL/Moviefone late in the afternoon -- after 3:00 EST.

its up now, just saw it on moviefone. so click on movies and then type in RENT and itll show the trailer :) enjoy!!!! its still just as beautiful even after the 100th time haha

yay! Notice the order of the names under the title: Rosario Dawson, Adam Pascal, Tracie Thoms, Taye Diggs. Adam's up there at 2nd - yay! ....and a picture of Angel when you click on it. I just assumed they'd put Rosario since they're using her star name to market this. I'm pleased that I'm wrong :)

Having just given a presentation in a grad school class on how different religions view homosexuality, I shall be veeerrry interested at the discussion this movie ignites. I doubt it'll change too many people's minds...but I like that the trailer doesn't try and downplay same-sex relationships since that would obviously not be an accurate representation of the story.

Chris Columbus must be an amazing guy to take on this project, be truthful to it and the ideas, be faithful to what the fans know the show to be (i.e. actors, costumes...), yet find his own ways to be creative. I'd like to meet him.

I just saw the new trailer, and i must say i am excited. I have one question, in the trailer and there was a clip of Roger singing in a club, and then they cut to some girl in the audience that is not Mimi, could this be April? ooohhh exciting!

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! Ok, I know. I'm way behind the times. Because none of the other links worked for me, I just saw the trailer for the first time. I was half laughing and half crying through the whole thing. It's so amazing! I simply can't wait!

IMDB is not "official" for upcoming projects. ANYONE can list ANY information - including madeup information. So don't go by IMDB for the cast.

The studio will release it when a final edit of the film has been completed and the movie gets a rating.

This debate keeps coming up, and I have to wonder if there EVER was an exact statement of just when it took place, or if all of the assumption was just that - assumption based on personal interpretation. I feel like it wasn't even set in stone or known for sure, and it's more important what cultural *period* it was in than exactly what year or even range of a few years it took place.

I think the trailer makes the movie look like it takes place now or in the late 90's.

Did anyone else watch Access Hollywood today? They showed the RENT Trailer, is it just me or did it sound different? I thought some of the singing sounded a lot different. But ya it was amazing to watch on TV!

Reeaally.. like a different recording from the one that was on the internet? Sorry, I'm slow. K I am addicted to this trailer, once I start watching it, I can't stop, I have to watch it over and over.

It sucks that they don't start the trailer on access hollywood at the very beginning. It starts with the shot of all of them in a row on the stage.

ddtruitt, in a San Francisco Chronicle article about the wrap party, it said that:

"Anna Deavere Smith was brought in to play Thoms'[Johanne] mother; and singer Bettina Devin, who lives here, was cast to play Idina Menzel's mother."

It's on forget-regret.net if you want to read the whole article, but it doesn't have anymore casting news. It also says that they taped TMOLM at the same mansion they used for the Carrington mansion in Dynasty, which made me geek out completely.
