I never really have understood the purpose of these "Love threads" but Christian is amazing and ever so sweet so I suppose I'll participate. :)
Pretty much just a place for people to say that they love assorted actors.
Which... I am. Christian Hoff tis excellence. I fear he won't win the supporting actor Tony, but I love 'im anyway!

Well this thread did not last very long. what no one loves Christian? what about now after the tonys?
i love Christian...and i told him so when i saw the show last week. he is incredibly talented and totally deserving of his Tony win!
Christian is wonderful. I haven't had the chance to see Jersey Boys yet (next weekend!), but I had the pleasure of meeting him about three weeks ago when I went to the August Wilson to meet up with a friend who was seeing the show that day. He's absolutely ADORABLE in person, and I gushed to him just a tad about how happy I was that he won the Tony. He was VERY sweet, and I cannot WAIT to get the chance to see the show finally.
My uncle, who's totally not a theatre person AT ALL, saw the show back in April, and he was telling me a few weeks ago how good he thought it was...I filled him in on the Tony wins, and he said "The guy that played Tommy Devito was amazing. Did he win? He should win. He was so good." It made me smile.
Bumping this up...
I finally got the chance to see the show Saturday afternoon, and Christian was just as amazing as I expected and then some. What a talented, talented man. He was a total joy to watch up there...so suave and smooth and charming. My friend was telling me that her mom, after seeing the show, said he could "charm the pants off any woman," and having finally seen it, I have to completely agree!
His wife and children were waiting for him after the show, and can I just say, he has quite possibly one of the most beautiful families I've seen. His wife is gorgeous, and his kids are as well...they're an extremely attractive family.
I love Christian! He's a very funny and sweet guy. He seems very protective over the other boys, too, which is very nice.
Christian is great!
aww i love Christian Hoff, I met him at the stage door last week and he was so sweet
I agree, Christian is wonderful as Tommy D. He is one of the reasons the show is so great!

Just curious. Are his children by his first marriage? He mentioned a recent rough divorce in the press room at the Tonys, and said he and his present wife were married only two years ago in the Broadway.com video.

I'm wondering how I never noticed this thread before... I love Christian almost as much as (or maybe equal to) how much I love love John Lloyd Young.

He is definitely one of the nicest Broadway men I have met. Such a loveable personality!
As to the children, though, he doesn't really advertise his personal life, which I respect him for. Although in his Tony speech he metioned that his wife Melissa is carrying his third child "in her womb."
Fishergirl is right, his family is absolutely adorable. I saw him holding his kids' hands and taking them backstage at Broadway Under the Stars, his wife right behind him. What an adorable family!
I will have to agree with snazzier, he really is one of the nicest Broadway actors I have met as well. My favorite encounter is when I was up there back in March, I stopped off at Virgin to pick up the cast recording, and then passed by the stage door, just to see if I might catch one of the guys before their matinee performance (I guess you could say I collect autographed CDS). Christian was the only one who happened by, and he was nice enough to stop and chit chat about the cast recording, The Four Seasons, and great music in general. I remember it put me in a great mood for the rest of the day. My cast recording still has his lone autograph on it, and I think I like it that way!

Geez, I didn't ask about intimate details of his personal life, just genral information that HE himself has put out there. Besides, I'm not intrested in any dirt. It was a fairly simple question.
Also, despite his excitement at an unexpected Tony win, lots of people thought the "baby in the womb" comment was too much information. So I don't think he's THAT reluctant to say anything about his off-stage life. The information he has given was voluntered.
He didn't have to say anything about it.

When I saw Jersey Boys at the very beginning of previews, Christian Hoff blew me completely away. I was so impressed with him, and kept telling everyone this- everyone else, including JLY was great, but Christian was the one who really impressed me. He's INCREDIBLE. I hoped with all my heart that he'd win the Tony.
I'm planning on seeing Jersey Boys again sometime between July 28 and Aug 4... Does anyone know if there are any scheduled absences during this time?
I love Christian Hoff!In May I walked by the theatre and I saw Christian I stopped and said hi and he was nice enough to stop and take a picture with me and we talked for a bit,he was just so nice.

TheatreFrenzy, I know Tituss is leaving the show on the 30th, so if you want to see him, you should go on the 29th!
He talked about his kids at his Chatterbox.
Christian's children are from his first marriage. He's in the middle of a custody battle for his kids with his ex-wife. It's very heartbreaking - his wife and kids were waiting for him after the show on Saturday, and you can really see how much Christian loves his kids. They were having a lot of fun together.
He's really a fantastic guy, and I'm sure a great father.
Christian was great when I saw the show. Anyone else think he resembles Mark Wahlberg?

I'm in such a good mood! Took my mother to see Jersey Boys tonight. As to be expected, it was fabulous, she had a blast and it was great experiencing it with her! We went to Gallagher's for dessert afterwards, and saw Christian. I congratulated him on his Tony and he was SO humble and sweet. He asked us our names, what we thought about the show, etc. Total dollface.
Oh what a night...
Not only one of Broadway's most talented actors, also one of the NICEST guys around!
