I've always depended on the kindness of casting.
Train to New Haven!
Exactly what I was going to say PalJoey. God, I am so glad to be out of Florida!
I need to skim more slowly. I first read this thread as "Joe Mantello" and thought ya'll had lost your minds!

I understand he'll be understudied by Log, formerly of Ren & Stimpy.

So glad it's only a ferry ride away for me.
The major and most important question is, what is happening in his pants from those Yale pictures ?

I know it would never happen, but I would love to see British actress Amanda Abbington play Blanche.
For those of you who don't know AA, she's the woman in Mr. Selfridge who is in love with the married man and New Yorkers can also see her playing the tarty girlfriend in After You've Gone on Friday nights Channel 21.
There needs to be a mandatory nude scene. Hell, he can go naked the whole show.
Sadly, he'll never be able to convey the raw alpha male sex appeal that Mr. John C. Reilly gave us.
Commence /swoon right now!
Sorry, Namo.
Yeah, Blanche! Take it, bitch!!!!

What's the best way to travel up there?

Is it still a rape if the rapist makes your knees wobble?
I know this thread isn't about the play itself, but I've never thought of it as rape. Blanche clearly wants Stanley, just as much as Stanley wants her. They may not want to want each other, but they definitely do.
Back to the thread...
You can still want someone and be raped.
This thread is cracking me up

Reminds me of when Uta Hagen was playing Blanche to Anthony Quinn's Stanley. At the end of the scene, there was a curtain malfunction and Quinn was looking around, not knowing what to do; Hagan hissed at him, "Rape me!"
"You can still want someone and be raped."
Right. But I do think Blanche gives her consent, even though she's clearly out of her mind.
