You know, that's really not what it is. Though I did re-think my choice before I made it, it had very little to do with what people would think OF the choice, unless "people" includes my parents. I do think people going on for a good long while about what I did by my own decision is excessive and uncalled for. Obvioulsy the disclaimer of "I'll live" needs to go here, but this is all kind of absurd. *However* absurdity aside, pre-occupations put on the backburner for a while, nothing was going to ruin this. I said I'm shocked by what people will do, not by what gets to me.
That said, I don't really have a lot to say (in a good way), at least at this point. It was absolutely like a dream; it was simple and perfect, and just... the most beautiful thing. Partial costume, semi-staged, fair amount of choreography, some lyrical flubs, but that kind of energy and love.... this is what Rent is supposed to be. I am so, so glad I went, yes, even on levels outside of the fact that this could be the last time Adam Pascal is on a Broadway stage.
