That's way more than an hour! I'd like that kind of entertainment on my next flight! :)

She's doing a show at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer...but that ain't Broadway...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I believe it was a pre-tape, shot a few days ago. Janney just happened to be on the same flight, ironically.

According to the 9 to 5 casting call, Violet (Lily Tomlin's role) is to be a comic coloratura. Comic, Janney is, but coloratura she ain't.

Maybe she's going to read the part of Roz?

A friend of mine in the business knows what show it is but won't tell me!

My understanding is that the flight was pre-selected a while ago and Janney was aked to be the guest. The passengers were actually on their way to New York. I would assume they were told ahead of time that Ellen would be taping on their flight.
