Marissa Jaret Winokur On Jimmy Kimmel Tonight

Just FYI
re: Which Broadway Star will be on the new 'Dancing With The Stars?'..

Um......I don't think Nikki schooled ANYONE in ANYTHING but it's such a ridiculous statement I refuse to argue about it further.

FYI - Marissa is on Jimmy Kimmel tonight to talk about DWTS.

re Else Kinda Feeling Their Love Of Musicals Dissipating?

No
re: oh my (RENT in London)

I think this is really exciting. I find the whole idea very appealing. I do find the lack of diversity a little alarming, but have a feeling it will find it's way. To be honest, the whole West End scene isn't that diverse in the first place.

Have there been rumors of Kylie actually playing Maureen? I'm not a huge Kylie fan, but seems kind of inevitable, doesn't it?

I love Idina, but I think she would distract from a new concept. She isn't the most adaptable of actresses. Her

re: Who should play Eve Harrington opposite Christine Ebersole's Margo Chan

Laura Bell would be perfect CurtainPullDowner!! But, of course, she is still unavailable. Unles by some miracle they close Blonde!!

I tend to despise Anne Hathaway on film, but I actually think she'd be a really good choice. They could go divers and use someone like Nikki James!!!

(I just want to see Nikki do MORE!!)

re: Just came back from Hairspray (movie, not show)

Personally, I think the movie lacks spunk, energy and spark. Nikki Blonsky bores me. Travolta embarrases himself and the direction was completely uninspired.

I did however like Queen latifah, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes and Christopher Walken. Oh, and Elijah Kelly is fantastic as Seaweed.

re: Are you a good source for Broadway Shows?

SondheimGeek : "And you felt that you needed to create a thread about this because...? "

Because this is Broadway message board. Seriously, this is a forum for people to come and be accepted for their love of the theater! You're exactly the kind of a*hole Laura Benanti is talking about!

re: what les mis CD?

Which...which Les Mis cd.

I couldn't help it.

re: Webber Wants Sarah Brightman for Upcoming Phantom Follow-Up

I think Sarah being there would be a huge draw. She has an immense international appeal.

Why she WOULDN'T do the show is beyond me. The only reason I could think of is her and Webbers personal relationship, but she was at his Kennedy Center Honors, so it can't be THAT bad.

And like her or not, she IS Christine. That role was built for her and every Christine since her has ben directed to evoke her.

I am not a huge Phantom fan, but I'm also not a hater. This project i

re: HAIRSPRAY WELCOME TO THE 60S ENTIRE SCENE

Travolta is a nightmare!
re: Margo Come Back! All is Forgiven!!

Yeah, what happened? I noticed a lack of Margo posts, but didn't know it was an intentional absence. I HATE THAT!!
re: Tony night question

Yeah, they usually go on Tony day. It's really exciting to see people do their lats show before. There is an amazing excitement in the air.
re: On Ellen...

It's "9 to 5" also with Stephanie J Block, at least that's thr umor I heard!
110 Promo Code

Anyone know of one?
re: Oh... My... The Addams Family????

I really love the idea of this show. I think it's exciting! The series was genius, the characters always felt musical anyway. This ecites me, and Lippa is PERFECT for it. (outside of Shaiman of course)
re: Drama Desk Awards will be broadcast on XM Satellite

Damnit. I've got Sirius. How did Seth Rudetsky let this happen!?!?!
re: Just Wanted to Share--- Funny Call Just Now from 'Roundabout'---

OY is RIGHT! UGH!
re: Hypothetical 'Best Song' Tony: 2006/07

"Another Winter..."
"Big Black Lady..."

I agree, BBL would win.

This really should be a category.

re: Do closed shows perform at the Tonys?

Alice and Emily performed for Side Show months after it had closed. It happens quite a bit actually, depends on the star power and the value it adds to the broadcast. Most things that have a big appeal this year are still running, so there probably won't be any closed shows performing this year.
re: 2007 DRAMA DESK NOMINATIONS

Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical:
Brooks Ashmanskas, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me

I just have to illuminate this to all of the haters who freaked out on me when I mentioned he would likely be nominated for the Tony. I know these nom's are not always the same, but he is getting the recognition he deserves.
