On Stage NY1

Patrick Pacheco reported that Anne Heche will be returning to Broadway to join Alec Baldwin in Roundabout's "Twentieth Century".

Roma Torre reviewed "Golda's Balcony" and "The Boy From Oz"
She gave "The Boy From Oz" a negative review except she did like all of the performances, especially Hugh's.

Yes and she loved Golda's Balcony.
So did I.

I also forgot to mention, they showed video clips of "Never Gonna Dance" rehearsals.

While I appreciate NY1's coverage of theater, I don't like their reviews. To me they seem to be too genteel.

Roma Torre doesn't really have the credentials to be a theater critic. She used to do human interest stories when she was working for News 12 Long Island--things like puppies caught in drain pipes and the first baby born after midnight on Jan. 1st. Incisive she isn't.

Roma does have a theater background. She worked as an actress for awhile and had her own theater company.

Well that explains why she's always dripping with bitterness.

I love Roma Torre and Onstage.

I love OnStage for their theatre coverage: Clips, interviews, and I like at the end when they ask the general theatre-going public what they thought of the show they had seen; but the people on the show annoy me...well, I do like Donna Karger (SP?) and Dennis Cunningham; but the rest of them are just irritating in my opinion.

I liked when Sharon Dizenhouse (sp?) did it. She was pretty. But I think she left to have a baby.

Sharon was great. I actually remember her last show. It was sad to see her leave. They said she would be like a London correspondent, but I've yet to see her even as a return guest correspondent. I always thought she was lucky getting to move to London. :)
