Do you think the Buffy musical episode "Once More, With Feeling" could ever work on stage off-Broadway?
I just finished the series on Netflix a few weeks ago and this was one of my absolute favorite episodes. I was listening to the album again today and was really surprised by how strong the Joss Whedon score actually is. Yeah, it's no West Side Story or Sound of Music but it's still pretty beautiful music. Yeah it's a little short for a full length musical, but maybe Mr. Whedon would be willing to add some scenes or songs to lengthen it.
So does anyone think it could work on or Off-Broadway? I personally don't think it could work on Broadway, but a limited run off-Broadway could. Would it work out of context of the show? Would enough people who aren't fans of the show come to see it?
