Just saw an ad on playbill saying the show must close on September 2nd, has this been prior knowledge.
Also I guess this means Virginia Woolf is still talking the Music Box.
Here's what the UK's Daily Mail had to say in April: "The run is set to end on September 2 , but if a surefire star replacement for Corden can be found, it will continue."

Corden definitely has to leave to get married and do other professional commitments.
Dunno if that's changed because he won the Tony, but I'd expect not.

Yes, definitely closing on September 2. That is as long as the British cast was permitted to work here.
Just for sheetz and geeegles... Who would you cast?
Letts seems to love the Music Box (as do I enjoy seeing his productions there). Let's hope Virginia Woolf moves in here in the fall!

I consider myself to be a fan of outlandish farces. I loved BOEING BOEING and IS HE DEAD? a few years ago, and enjoyed LEND ME A TENOR. However the performance at the Tonys was painful for me to sit through, both live (at the rehearsal) and on TV. Is there a chance that I just didn't get it out of context, or if I didn't find that funny, I won't find the full show enjoyable?
Saw it tonight - I haven't laughed that hard since Book of Mormon.
Out of context I thought it was a hot mess. I saw the show in April -- loved most of it. HIghly reccommend it.
