Is there anyone in the world who actually likes the technical rehearsal?? Don't get me wrong...Mama wants to be lit well...but can't we just hire a stand-in while I wait in my trailer??

Lilhead, you were bored to tears by this play? How is that possible? Even if, by some chance, that LA show was the perfect marriage of bad acting and even worse directing the play still holds up. This was a very well written piece of literature. So well written that I don't think any theater loving adult would find it boring.

And Steve Martin is one of this country's few true Renaissance men. I admire all his work. I can't wait to see the show.

When and where is it again, robbie?

Oh what a lovely opening!

From start to finish, everything was clicking beautifully...there were a couple of minor hiccups (well...2 pages of dialoge skipped...BUT IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!), but the audience seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. It's a very bare bones production...no set, no props (it's all space work...I know...it sounds dreadful...but it's fine) and very simple costumes. But I think it truly lets the wonderful text shine. And it's such a pleasure to be in a cast that is completely made up of talented people...instead of the rag tag bunches that can be seen on many an off-off Broadway stage. And it is a blessedly short show, which is always a plus.

The after-party was delightful. Champagne flowed and air kissed flourished. Oh...and for those of you who care about such things...Boy George happened to be there.

All in all, a heady night!

Well...true, Sueleen...MOST of the text did indeed shine! And tonight we'll get those two pages back!!!

As for Mr. O'Dowd...I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor that he was unbathed.

He did, however, drink vermouth on the rocks.
