I have only one slot left to see one more show on my next weekend trip in early March. I go for edgy, raw, dramatic shows generally (with several exceptions). Strong books are very important. Any thoughts on the relative merits of each show?
- Come Back Little Sheba
- Rock N' Roll
- Passing Strange
- Crimes of the Heart
Or should I just go with Gypsy (not a Patti fan I must say, but I adore the show)? I loved the Peters revival.
I've already seen Dead Man's Cellphone, August: Osage County etc.)

I'd either see Rock N' Roll before it closes, or Passing Strange.
-Jeff Bowen's worst onstage line flub.

Posted: 2/23/08 at 3:23pmI am now debating whether to add a day onto my trip and see both Passing Strange and Rock N' Roll. I've heard Passing Strange lacks a strong, coherent plot though. True?

Posted: 2/23/08 at 6:13pmNot True, KC. PS's "plot" is thoroughly embedded throughout this unconventional musical. One must "listen" to the ingenious lyrics/peotry. The performers are excellent and the musicians outstanding.

Ok, I am willing to give it a shot. I like weird, intellectual stuff. I bit the bullet and bought a ticket.
This is what happens when I hate my job and decide to go on theatre binges (its not like I don't see enough theatre here in DC either).

Of the four you suggested, I enjoyed Come Back Little Sheba and Rock N Roll. As most of you know, I did not enjoy Passing Strange. Haven't seen Crimes of the Heart yet and probably won't see it.
My choice would be GYSPY!
