I have only one slot left to see one more show on my next weekend trip in early March. I go for edgy, raw, dramatic shows generally (with several exceptions). Strong books are very important. Any thoughts on the relative merits of each show?

- Come Back Little Sheba
- Rock N' Roll
- Passing Strange
- Crimes of the Heart

Or should I just go with Gypsy (not a Patti fan I must say, but I adore the show)? I loved the Peters revival.

I've already seen Dead Man's Cellphone, August: Osage County etc.)

I'd either see Rock N' Roll before it closes, or Passing Strange.

My friend saw Passing Strange the other night and called me at home right after the show just raving about it.

I am now debating whether to add a day onto my trip and see both Passing Strange and Rock N' Roll. I've heard Passing Strange lacks a strong, coherent plot though. True?

Not True, KC. PS's "plot" is thoroughly embedded throughout this unconventional musical. One must "listen" to the ingenious lyrics/peotry. The performers are excellent and the musicians outstanding.

Ok, I am willing to give it a shot. I like weird, intellectual stuff. I bit the bullet and bought a ticket.

This is what happens when I hate my job and decide to go on theatre binges (its not like I don't see enough theatre here in DC either).

Of the four you suggested, I enjoyed Come Back Little Sheba and Rock N Roll. As most of you know, I did not enjoy Passing Strange. Haven't seen Crimes of the Heart yet and probably won't see it.

My choice would be GYSPY!
