I'm headed up to the city next month and have everything planned except my one Saturday afternoon show. I am seeing Titanique at 5, so I need to be done by at least 4:15. I want to see a play, as a I am seeing many musicals and Ohio State Murders. My options are:
A Christmas Carol
Leopoldstadt
Ain't No Mo
A Strange Loop (I didn't "get" this the first time I saw it and am considering giving it another chance)
Any other suggestions would be great and appreciated!!
Have to recommend Leopoldstadt only because a) it's excellent, and b) I haven't seen the other two new plays yet. Leo would also be an EXTREMELY different type of show than Titaniq.......Is Leo still running about 2:10?
A Strange Loop and Leopoldstadt were the two best shows I saw on my recent trip to NY. It sounds like ASL isn't your thing so I say go with Leopoldstadt.

Phantom, if there are still tickets left. ANYTHING else you see, you will be able to see again at some point in a similar if not a replica production. Once Phantom is gone, there will never be a chance to see anything like it again.

The Saturday matinee of Phantom won't be over by 4:15, so it doesn't suit the poster's needs.
Go and see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! You'll love it!

The Radio City show is, indeed, excellent. However it attracts a strange audience that isn't accustomed to the theater. There are babies crying, lots of talking during the performance and people constantly gettin up to buy food/drinks and go to the bathroom. This not just a one-shot observation because I've been going to this for years. When you can't hear the TWO Mighty Whirlitzers playng in the show's prelude, you know the noise level in the audience is high.
