Opinion: Funny Girl OR Doubtfire

Hello all! I’m putting the final touches on my trip for this May, and for my last slot I’m down to choosing between Funny Girl and Mrs. Doubtfire. I was excited about the former as I do enjoy Beanie as an actress, but some of the initial reports and some audio clips I’ve heard have me weary. Doubtfire was always my backup choice and the new trepidation for Funny Girl has me considering it as a replacement. For those who have seen both, what is your take?

If anyone is curious the other shows my trip will consist of are A Strange Loop, How I Learned to Drive, The Bedwetter, POTUS, SUFFS and Into the Woods.

Opinion: Funny Girl OR Doubtfire

You're unlikely to see a Funny Girl revival in a while, pick that.

Opinion: Funny Girl OR Doubtfire

I haven't seen FUNNY GIRL yet, but it would be hard to recommend a mediocre show like DOUBTFIRE over one that might be great, and will certainly get more Tony nominations than.

Opinion: Funny Girl OR Doubtfire

FUNNY GIRL has a wonderful score at its core, though the buzz on the street is that this isn't a great production. (I haven't seen it yet.)

DOUBTFIRE is a mediocre piece of theatre writing in a production that doesn't really elevate the material.

The choice seems clear to me from the above.

"Sex is like pizza. Even if it's done bad, it's still pretty good." Perhaps the same can be said of FUNNY GIRL.

Based on input here I just grabbed a seat for Funny Girl in my final slot. If anyone needs a discount code, PEOPLE made my $179 only $129.
