Opinons Needed for NY trip in August

Me & my aunt are taking our annual NYC trip for my birthday, this year I'll be 18. Woot! But were trying to decide which would easiest:

Buy THE DROWSY CHAPERONE tickets
and rush TARZAN or WEDDING SINGER

or Buy either TARZAN or WEDDING SINGER
and rush DROWSY

I need help. I havent been to NY since March, so current input on RUSH and such would be greatly appericated.

Buy Drowsy
Rush Wedding Singer and Tarzan

Have a backup plan for Tarzan though, their rush line gets pretty crowded.

I agree- Buy Drowsy. That show is selling out as of late.


EDIT: Tarzan is as well, so if you are desperate to see that, I would buy ahead.

The reason is, Drowsy only has a lotto. Tarzan and Wedding Singer both have student rush that you can get if you line up early enough. Since they're not lottos, you have a better chance with obtaining those tickets. Between Wedding Singer and Tarzan, I'd say try WEDDING SINGER. There was a boost in ticket sales after the Tonys, but I believe the Tarzan rush is more popular. I got to the Wedding Singer box office on a Sunday at 10:30-10:45 for the 3 pm show (box office opens 12 pm on Sundays, 10 am every other day) and there were about 4 people ahead of me, and I got tickets front row center. I hear people start lining up for the Tarzan rush even earlier, around 8 am, and they don't sell tickets until 2 hours before the show starts. I don't know a lot about Tarzan rush, though.

On top of it all, Drowsy has been a hot sell lately, so it'd probably be your best bet to just buy those tickets in advance.

Buy Drowsey.

I did rush for Tarzan easy. It's student rush, so have your school ID and enough cash (no credit cards) for two tickets.

I was given a ticket to Wedding Singer. Wedding Singer is also on TKTS. Shouldn't be a problem. Any seat is good for Wedding Singer EXCEPT the very very last row because it's shorter room for your legs. My knees rubs against the seat in front of me the whole time. But any other row is great.

Buy Drowsey. It's the hardest to get tickets to. I tried rush with no success. Had to buy 'em full price.

I'm taking everyone's advice in buying my Drowsy tickets now.
Question- How bad are the 25.00 seats, my aunt wont buy the 85.00.

I'm probably gonna end up seeing DROWSY & WEDDING SINGER unless TARZAN dies down rush wise, althought CapNHook's post, made me feel a tad better.

I bought $85 mid mezz tickets for Drowsy and I might as well have gotten the $25 tickets. No difference. Only difference is if you go orchestra. Orchestra would be better. But my seats were good. FAR away compared to other Broadway houses but good.

The $25 were surprisingly great for a bigish theatre. The actors don't look too teansy and the sound is just fine.
