So I try to go to the Chiller Theatre Expo in New Jersey every Halloween and have been checking their site daily for updates on who's attending. Well today they announced that from the original JCS film, Ted Neely, Yvonne Elliman, Josh Mostel & Barry Dennen will be there signing!!! And from OLIVER!, Ron Moody, Mark Lester & Shani Wallis will all be in attendance (and they could always, and usually do, add more)!
Not to mention reunions this year with cast/crew of JAWS and (the reason that I'm already jumping out of my skin with excitement) THE MONSTER SQUAD, this is going to be a GREAT year!

This is ridiculously exciting. Thanks for sharing, Jordan. I knew Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, et al were appearing at a Jesus Christ Superstar screening in Illinois, and I was sad I couldn't make it to that. But now I am SO there.

The JCS junket has been picking up steam. This started as a series of 40th anniversary screenings (to promote the release of the new Blu-ray) with a little Q&A before and after at the end of last month. Some were Neeley solo, some were Neeley and Dennen, mainly in California. Now it's at least two full-cast gatherings that I know of.
I love Ted, but, as some of the wags would say, at least he's finally found a way to make money from it without performing it.
I've already got tickets to the Illinois reunion! I'm pretty stoked. I love Yvonne Elliman and never thought I'd be able to get her to sign my album.
Have fun, pc, I'm sure it'll be great! I hear the Blu-ray is unparalleled in terms of visual quality, and on a big screen, it will look especially impressive. Think of those tanks coming over the hill at the beginning of "Damned for All Time" at full size!
I would LOVE to be there for this.
I'm not much of a "fanboy" these days, but something like this would make me faint like a bobbysoxer.
I'm totally into it.
Side note: I initially heard this was just Ted, so I'm pleased that Yvonne, Barry, and Josh signed on for the event.
You forgot to add John Savage from "Hair", Chris Sarandon & Ken Page from "The Nightmare Before Christmas", Nancy Kwan from "Flower Drum Song", Michael Beck from "Xanadu" and the kids from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Never miss Chiller.
I normally avoid this one because it's so crowded in that hotel and it does a number on my anxiety, but I might have to pick up a pass for that line-up.
Weird Al and Gilbert Gotfried are going to be signing at a US convention for the first time. That's unexpected. And The 5.6.7.8.'s are showing up, too. I thought they broke up after Kill Bill came out.
Yeah, I guess I'm going to have to go. I'll bring some horror art for the contest and maybe even a costume for Saturday night if my Don't Starve cosplay comes together the right way for NYCC.
I just called the hotel and they're already completely booked for that weekend.
That really sucks.
For those who are curious, this is the latest in a series of JCS 40th anniversary junkets for the cast.
