I think we all need a sunday revival now! However, if they ever did a Passion revival which I think should be in order, we would NEED audra! Her rendition of clara was WONDERFUL in the concert. I seriously wish SO much that they released it cause I only taped the end and wanted more of her in it! That trio was spectacular performing together
I felt so bad for her, though. It's such a thankless role. And by the time we get around to a Passion revival, she'll be more appropriate for Fosca, age-wise. It came out in the 90's. We're not getting a revival any time soon.

Yeah, give Passion another ten years for a revival at least -- and it would have to be at Roundabout or some other not-for-profit for a very limited engagement. The show has no legs commercially.

Oh yes, Audra would be Clara of course! Donna would be Fosca. Then 3/4 of my dream would come true!
I know...no revival any time soon...but gee wiz do I want to see it!
Before I opened this I was just thinking that I would love to see Roundabout do a revival of "Anyone Can Whistle". It's such a neat, crazy show with great music! With a good cast I think it could do well, especially since it is done so rarely.
best12bars- That would be an absolutely terrific ALNM cast, if a bit unlikely.

I'm thrilled to see from the posts that a revival of "A Little Night Music" is in the planning. Does anyone know if the revival is due to be staged at any point in London. Only wondered as Trevor Nunn is due to direct. Can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect of Glenn Close, I always thought her singing was somewhat lacking, incredible actress though. I'd love to see Meryl Streep, I'd be on the fist plane out of the UK for that.
Anyone Can Whistle....
Cora-Christine Baranski
Hapgood-Norm Lewis
Fay-Cheno
At least that's who I'd get...
I'm all about the Revival of My favorite Musical A Little Night Music!!!!!! I think Glenn Close was more Desiree Material at the Sonheim Celebration Concert, and that was over a decade ago. Still, she could probably do a good job of it, I'd probably just like to see someone else(and I LOVE Glenn Close!). But if she's the only way it can get back to Broadway, then sign her up.
I'd like to see Judy Dench as Madame Armfeldt!
I love Judi Dench for Mme. Armfeldt! Great choice. Add her to my dream cast if Barbara Cook isn't available.
Yes, I'm smoking some terrific Sondheim weed to think that Sutton Foster would play the dinky (but memorable) role of Petra. I would just love to hear her work "The Miller's Son" in the 11 o'clock spot. And if she's not available... let's knock on Alice Ripley's door!
Maybe they could do just a limited run... and they could all clear their schedules... and... yeah, I know, pigs will fly first.
I think Meryl Streep has more warmth and humor than Glenn Close. Both have the class and stature to pull off Desiree though. I would rather see Close as Charlotte, but she's a bit too old for it now. She needs to be between the ages of Desiree and Ann.
I would kill to hear Victoria Clark (Charlotte) and Kelli O'Hara (Ann) duet on "Everyday a Little Death." Worth a top price ticket, to be sure!
Okay, I'm done dreaming for now.
A think a revised SITPWG would be amazing. It would have to be Roundabout or Lincoln Center. I really think that with some careful restructuring, the show could be even more incredible.
I'm all for Sam Mendes directing.
I'm not sure if I can erase Bernadette from my memory. There is simply NO ONE like her!
Any ideas?
