People are cast on far less than what I've seen of Max Crumm. I get your point, but a lot of casting agents don't have the luxury of casting people based on their proficiency at prior roles.

I can see him as Seymour in LSOH and Leo Bloom in The Producers. Even though it's not a lead role, I can see Max as Joe Pesci in Jersey Boys.

The boy can act, and I hope once he's out of his Grease contract he'll start making the regional theatre rounds and start perfecting his skills more. But once he's a bit older, he would be wonderful as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys. And you know this show is going to be around for a long time.
