I don't like this. With Lachey doing Mark as a model, and Mimi's pants aren't blue....... there's something wrong.

do joey fatone was too heavy to be mark and drew is too buff...maybe the casting directors didn't really look at them too closely for this STARVING ARTIST role

Speaking of The Pants, since Scary is gone, they are being switched back to blue right?

Also, I didnt want to start another thread about this so I'll just post here.

Does anyone know if Drew has any days off scheduled? My sister wants tickets for her birthday, but NOT with him (i dont blame her). Is he not doing matinees or have any definate days of not performing? PLEASE let me know! haha.

i think that lachey is only in it till like march or something...but thats still awhile to wait to go see it...but yeah...has anyone seen the rent website lately where on the front page is a pic of lachey topless like posing...plus i cant imagine his voice singing all of marks songs and stuff...it doesnt fit in mind...i dont even think he would make a good roger...but hed make a better roger than mark (if he had to be in the show)
plus this realy sucks cause now people that go to see the show because they love it for what it is wont be able to hear anything cause theres probably gunna be like those little teenyboppers obsessed with him in the audience screaming everytime he comes on stage

If you want to see a picture of Drew AS Mark go down to the Nederlander, he's there in patented Mark sweater and glasses. The picture on the site/in the subways is just Drew...if i recall correctly there isn't a giant sign that says "THIS IS WHAT HE WILL BE DOING IN THE SHOW"

Of course not, mike. This just takes me back to my whole issue with stunt-casting, which I definitely don't have the time to get into right now. That signage just goes to show that they're casting him because of who he is, not what he can do.

Where can I see a picture of Mr. Lachey in full Mark regalia?
I just went to the website, and its just a picture that looks like it has been leftover from 98 degrees photoshoots. He's got his arm crossed, and it shirtless.

Personally, I dont find him to be all the attractive, but each to their own.

Where is a pic of him as Mark??

WHAT?? how did I manage to miss that?? I had NO idea that she didnt wear the blue pants!!! whats up with that???? If she doesnt look good in them, she can either a) lose weight or b) forfit the part! you CANT be Mimi without the pants! its a sin!

I think that Drew Lachey is incredibly hot. I think that Brian Gligor would be better for broadway. He was great in the tour, not to mention sizzling hot at the stage door.

He wasn't as vocally energetic as Rapp or Caplan. That was my main problem with him. He grew on me though. I was stunned by his looks. I didn't expect a Mark to be that hot.

Yeah, I saw him twice, and he almost sounded stuffed up. Maybe he had a cold or something?? Who knows...I wasn't close enough to see the hotness, unfortunately :-P

Maybe he was sick when you guys saw him...cuz his voice was definitely awesome when I saw him. I don't normally like Tango: Maureen, and it was my favorite number in the tour show. SO funny.

..don't really remember Caplan being very energetic. Saw him a couple times recently. Maybe you saw him when he still did the tour?

Um.......why was Joey too big for "The Shirt." They didn't change it or anything like they did THE PANTS for scary spice. It shouldn't matter if Mark is skinny, muscular, or chunky. I mean, that is why I like Mark because I can imagine myself in the role. Roger is supposed to be "the hunk" so I can't picture myself in the roll. Who cares if drew is muscular, the problem I have is that they better not make him something he isn't or I will PISSED and the RENT people will hear what I have to say. BAM!!!
