yaaaaaaaaay!
I haven't even seen the show yet, but I can't wait.
Oh this is FANTASTIC news!
As happy as I am for all you P.O. fans, WHAT ABOUT LA CAGE?!?!!?!??!!!!???
GREAT news - I was worried PS Classics weren't gonna record it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this production.
I'm sure La Cage will be recorded - you shouldn't worry Albin.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
I would like to think that the bobardment of e-mails I sent to PS Classics helped!
SO excited. ![]()

How come Roundabout never recorded "Follies" or "The Boys from Syracuse"?
Probably because there are a number of recordings of both Follies and Boys from Syracuse available. That's my guess.
I thought of that, but the 2001 revival of "Follies" was so good. I'd give anything to hear Blythe sing "Losing my Mind" one more time. I wasn't too keen on their "Boys". For me, the best recording is the 1997 Encores! cast.
the 97 BFS recording is also my favorite...i WONDER why it's your favorite
yea.....
Rebecca Luker's "Falling in Love with Love" is really great, too, as is "He and She" with Ms. Gravitte and a surprisingly convincingly straight Mario Cantone, lol!
Ah, this is GREAT NEWS! I had given up any hope of a recording.
Blythe was Phyllis. Judith Ivey was Sally, the character who sings "Losing My Mind".
I didn't think either the Follies revival or The Boys from Syracuse were crying out do be documented. They were both pretty dreary.
I meant Judith. I don't know why I typed Blyhte. Sorry!!!
This is wonderful news. It is such a beautiful production. I will be interested to hear how it sounds on a CD.
Looking forward to this.

YAY! YAY! YAY!
first Amour, than this!? YAAY
I'm not that familiar with Pacific Overtures, but I probably will buy it because of B.D. Wong.
you mean those e-mails we sent actually worked??? damn!
I've been listening to their Frogs OBC non-stop - they did a fabulous job recording that. Really looking forward to this one.
For a while there I was convinced that there wasn't going to be a "Frogs" OBC. I'm very happy that it was released.
I am very excited about this recording -- especially for Paolo Mantalban's performance and "Someone In A Tree" -- and I'd like to hear the new orchestrations again in "Next" -- during the number in the show, I was entirely too focused on the out-of-control (but quite cool) choreography and crazy techno club kid costumes.
I hoped PS Classics would pull through. Hooray!
