re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

What's Sara Ramirez doing these days?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

Love, love, love this show! It's about time that it came back to Broadway. I'm not sure how I feel about new songs being added in and I am a bit scared about some of the book changes. I think Harry Connick, Jr. will do a fine job in that role not to mention the fact that he will bring in a crowd. I also hope they find a Babe that can fill the shoes of Ms. Paige and the ever so fabulous Doris Day (perfect casting if you ask me). My only other concern is that they don't touch the "Steam Heat" choreography at all. I could tolerate "Once A Year Day" and "Hernando's Hideaway" being altered but I think changing "Steam Heat" is a sin. No offense to those that like it but I just pray that this show doesn't turn into another SWEET CHARITY!

I agree! The Fosse dance numbers (esp. STEAM HEAT) are wonderful! It is going to be hard to top the original anyway. Just look at the directing team: George Abbott, Jerome Robbins, and Bob Fosse!

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

I dont worry at all about that under Kathleen Marshall's hands...imho shes a MUCH better choreographer than hack Wayne Cillento.

I bet this will be fun...unless it's not.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Be on the lookout for a certain Tony-winner to take on the role of Babe...if all works out as planned.

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

Any more casting info on this? I guess we just have to wait and see. It can't take too long to get to know who plays opposite Harry Connick.

Does Connick have the vocal chops for Sid? The role sits pretty high.

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

Girl: Well of course you've noticed his manly physique and that look in his eye
Girl: Well I'm sure he can cut almost any man out of size!
Girl: He must he as fierce as a tiger when he's mad
Girl: And I'll bet he cries like a little boy when he's sad

Babe: But I'm not at all in love, not at all in love not I!
Not a straw
Not a hair
I don't care if he's as strong as a lion
Or if he has the rest of you sighing
You may be sold but this girl aint buying!!
I'm not at all in love!

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

The only thing that excites me less than a revival of Pajama Game would be Harry Conick Jr. IN Pajama Game. I guess I am alone? Yes, there are some fun songs, but snooozzeeee.....
PEACE.

re: PAJAMA GAME?!?!

Sueleen, it is SUCH a fun musical to do. I was Heinzie in a US Army theater center production in Germany, and my God we had a blast......except for dress rehersal, when half of us were drunk, and the woman playing Babe, suddenly looked at us, burped, and passed out.......

it may not be deep, etc....but it's cute....and sometimes cute is enough

and sometimes cute is enough

For a one night stand or a diaper commercial, maybe.
I think Harry Connick is CUTE, but dull as dishwater.
PEACE.

I find the play cute, not Harry
