WTF! For DECADES Playbill has had the trademark yellow logo with black lettering. And now, in 2008, they are going to tribute WICKED for its FIFTH anniversary??

REALLY?

WICKED?

*FIFTH* anniversary?

I'm very disappointed in Playbill right now.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Believe me, there are other things to get riled-up about (I can think of a few) than this. Wicked's got the money, let them have a green Playbill for one evening...

Well, in today's climate, five years is pretty impressive. Hell, even before all thr banks started dying on their arses, five years was nothing to sneeze at.

It won't look worse than when the Playbills looked like this for a few years.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think it's kind of cool.

I'd love one! They should always do that for shows' anniversaries (that are multiples of ten or five).

...At least it doesn't say "A NEW MUSICAL" anymore...

I like it! I also think the lineup for the anniversary is terrific. Wish I could go!
