Query regarding who comes out after PORGY... on Saturday matinees. Does Audra? I'm already excited about seeing the reinterpretation of a great piece. (Hopefully SS's "Perhaps it will be wonderful..." comment at the end of his letter will come true.) Seeing McDonald at the stage door would be an added bonus. If anyone has any knowledge, I'd be grateful.

(PS: I doubt she does, being that the role is demanding and she's a big enough star not to come out on two show days, but maybe I'm wrong?)

McDonald said on her Twitter that she tries to come out after every performance and greet fans.

I saw it the Wednesday before last in the evening. it took her a while to come out but she did and she was very nice and very gracious. She signed and took pics. She even took time to chat. It was raining and had stopped about 15 minutes before she came out so there were only about 15 of us out there. I got my picture taken with her.

I understand the stage door itself is a slightly curved piece of wood paneling.

Norm had not come out by the time I left and I was there for about 40 minutes. I wanted to stay for him but I met him in Denver when he was ding Little Mermaid so I left.

Namo, it is. With wonderful lighting effects on it.

When I saw it, both Audra and Norm came out, but it took them a while. Once they came out, they were so sweet! They took their time signing and taking pictures, even in the rain.

Also Will Swenson arrived a few minutes after Audra came out :)

Audra is always so kind and warm to her fans. I chatted with her after 110 in the Shade and we chatted like old friends. I wished her well on her new tv show (at the time) and told her not to stay away from Broadway for too long. She laughed and said Broadway was her passion and would be back soon. Try to follow her on Twitter. She has a wicked sense of humor!
