"PHANTOM MOVIE ACTORS ARE NOT SINGERS
It seems that our suspicions have been correct - hardly any members of the Phantom of the Opera movie cast can actually sing. The London Phantom West End cast have been drafted in to help with...voice-overs!!! A previous "Carlotta" who has performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, London has been asked to sing all tracks for Minnie Driver and then to add insult to injury: to sign an annonimity clause. This doesnt seem fair does it? Gererd Butler is reported to be having constant on set music rehearsals and lessons as his voice is definately not up to scratch.

The new Meg Giry: Jennifer Ellison has also been given a guide track by a previous/current London cast member. Finally more bad news. Members of the West End London Phantom cast have been in to record the parts of the "Managers" as a guide track for Simon Callow and Ciaran Hinds but in reality these voices will probably be electronically merged to give a more full sound. What a fake this movie is turning out to be. My advice: Go see the Broadway or West End production - you will have a much more enjoyable evening and hear some great voices!"

We won't kill ourselves over this. You guys are a bit off with that. It's just some sad news. We didn't have that much faith in the movie to begin with. Most of us understood that it wouldn't be anything like the musical version. Oh well...no use explaining. I just wish you guys wouldn't be so bored as to have nothing better to do than bash fans of a musical.

sheekala - I'm still going to see the movie. I won't be able to help it. I'm actually hoping that it is good. I know it won't be like the stage version. How could it?
