 I actually don't always agree with Brantley, but his review did help me better arrange my thoughts about the show, since I've been sort of struggling with that since seeing it on Thursday. I don't think I liked James as much as Brantley did, but I especially agree with his assessment of Gabriel Ebert, who I think was excellent.


When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I think Brantley will remain an outlier on this show.

Agreed. I think James is the best part of the show, and her big song is quite beautiful. But I think Eppert is just not my cup of tea. I didn't care for him in 3000 Miles or Casa Valentina. I just don't think he's very good. But ppl seem to like him, so whatevs.

god this was a mess and the Hypnosis song was tear enduringly boring, too much Sergie not enough Dave.
