I got an e-mail A While ago from telecharge is $39.50 seats for some shows.
I lost the e-mail however I remember the code
If I go to the Box office's and tell them the code will they still give me the discount or do I need the actually e-mail? I think they would bc the code is really all they need right?
The code is: DOUGH08A

?
You only need the code.
You have got to be the most impatient person in the world.
HOWEVER, it is written that you need the printed page.
At most places you don't need the print out. I went to get tickets at Gypsy the other week, and the guy at the box office told me that I needed a print out, and that the emails say that you need a print out. I asked him if he could just punch the code in, and he said that he needed proof or something. He wasn't very nice about it either.
I never had to print out the code before. I would just write it down on a piece of scrap paper, or just tell them the code. The St. James is a Jujamcyn Theatre though. Maybe it is one of their policies.
The GYPSY box office is annoying. He told the lady in front of me once that the sheet she handed didn't have a code on it, thought it clearly did because it was highlighted.
I've just told the people the code many, many times and never had a problem.
"Maybe it is one of their policies."
Although some theaters are lenient and will search for discount tickets without a printout, the ticket discount e-mails and websites CLEARLY state that you must bring a printout of the code from the email/discount website to the theater to receive the discount. It is not a theater-specific policy. They are only trying to follow the rules set forth by the productions who make these discounts possible.
This was really a 1/10 case though. Why make things hard?

Hence why I said that "although some theaters are lenient and will search for discount tickets without a printout..." I was mentioning that because it is stated in the printouts to bring one, the theater reserves the right to not sell you a discounted a ticket unless you have the proof. Rare? Yes, perhaps. But it still happens which is why I make sure I have a printout with me just in case every time I make a trip to a box office. Invest in a really cheap printer if you don't have one.
I never understand why folks get upset when someone (anywhere) actually follows the rules.
Ditto. I went to YF the other day to inquire about tickets for a performance, yet didn't have the discount code with me. The lady was very nice and said she wasn't supposed to do it without the printout, but she did anyway. I was prepared to leave if she didn't. If it is a problem, come back with the discount code.

What the hell are you talking about? I never got upset, not at the Gypsy box office, and not at millie_dillmount. I just brought it up because I never had a print-out and that was the first time I was asked for one. That's it.
I never said you did...it was just a general statement.

Why not buy it off of Broadway Offers? A little extra, but it still works for me.

I was thinking about doing that but since I'm going to be in NYC anyway I was trying to save the service fees.
Dumb question, but I've never used discount codes before...where does one get all of these wonderful discount codes?
