WOW...Brantley's review was SO not what I expected. I've long thought "The Pajama Game" to be dated and pointless, but I guess the book revisions have really done some good (or, as it would seem, Kathleen Marshall's direction and choreography).
i'll have you know that peter marks of the washington post told me in class today that he absolutely loved it, is writing a rave. he thinks they must be sleeping together offstage is what he told me. that was how sexy they are.
I think that the review on Broadway.Com is one of the sorriest things I have ever read. It sounds like he didn't even see it. All very surface. I know Kelli isn't even worried about the reviews. She and Harry are just having a great time doing what they do best.
And Brantley is correct... Kelli is a bona fide star!!!!!
there is a review- a bit mixed and a great preview video montage! (1st and 3rd video on the scrolly)
"Beating AIDS and extreme, stupid poverty, this is our moon shot. This is our civil rights struggle, our anti-apartheid movement. This is what the history books will remember our generation for--or blame us for, if we fail."-Bono
