Pajama Game Revival - Casting Suggestions?

Sid Sorokin - Harry Connick Jr. (obviously)
Babe Williams - Carolee Carmello
Vernon Hines* - Matthew Broderick/Dick Latessa
Gladys Hotchkiss* - Christina Applegate/Bebe Newirth
Prez - John Tartaglia
Mabel - Kathleen Turner
Hasler - Mario Cantone

*If they cast the roles on the older side (as they probably should), Latessa opposite Newirth. Younger, Broderick oppsite Applgate. (I could also see Dennis O'Hare playing Hines.)

Obviously, almost all of these will NEVER happen, but feel free to speculate and/or tell me what you think!

Harry Connick is already a definite, so you don't have to worry about that.

I think he'd be cute. I was also thinking Dan Fogler for a bit but I think that could get crazy. Dennis O'Hare, maybe? (Hines is a tough un' to cast)

Epiphany...Ernie sabella would be the peeerfect hines in my opinion...I completely picture him as gruff but still sweet

Bernadette Peters for Mabel. Should could finally start playing her real age! Imagine her with with her hair pulled back into a tight bun wearing glasses.

Ernie Sabella would be perfect as Hines, and so would Tartaglia as Prez.

I could see either Beth Fowler or Andrea Martin as Mabel. If the wonderful Kathleen Freeman was still with us, she would have been great.

However, Ramirez would rock as the Sour Kangaroo, and some other roles.

Tartaglia is too boyish, feminine, and young for Prez.

Why wouldn't Ramirez be good as Gladys? She's sexy and has an amazing voice.

Although she wouldn't be someone I would immediately WANT to see in the role, I think it's something she could work.
