I agree, luckydave about everything you said.
I've been dying for these tickets and I actually waited up until midnight the night they went on AmEx presale and then realized that the ten dollar tickets don't go on sale until general sale. So I was so pumped and then figured I'd get to it after class (at like 11) but it was too late...they should post a time the tickets start to go on sale online.
I hope they open up another block of these tickets...I was dying to see the show, and will probably not pay full price either way. But, yeah...even if they're ten dollar tickets for like a Tuesday or Thursday show or something.

So just because you didn't get $10 tickets, some of you now aren't going to see this show at all? Join Hiptix, you'll get a ticket for $21.50 - or just buy the last row of the mezzanine at $36.50 full price.
I managed to get 2 tickets for $10, but I knew that if I had missed the opportunity that there are still several other ways to see Roundabout shows for dirt cheap.

I'm still going to see it. I'm not going to be rushing to see it though.

I was lucky to get 3 this morning. I couldn't buy them online, so I called the theatre. Looking forward to it!
<< They really should cap these tickets at 2 per order. For this kind of special, they shouldn't be letting people order that many tickets. 10 is a little much. Isn't the ticket limit 8 in general though? Been checking all day since 10:15 and haven't seen anything go up. It would've been nice if Roundabout posted an onsale time as well. If they did, I never saw it.

I was able to get 10, but for (4) different people, and they used their own credit cards- I was basically just the one ordering them, because they didnt have a clue of how to use the system.
When I go to sign up for the HIPTIX account, it won't let me. I'm 18 and my birthday is 3/30/90...but it only goes up to 1989 for birth years.
Should I call the number tomorrow...?

I'm 18 too, but I think I might have signed up with an 89 birth year instead. Oops.
Can you get the tickets emailed to you through HIPTIX though or do you have to do will call? Because it seems like they make you go through will call as it says "Your birthdate is required because HIPTIX is an audience development program designed especially for 18 - 35 year olds. Please note, you will be asked to present a valid photo ID at the Box Office each time you purchase tickets in order to verify your age..."

Not totally sure. I still haven't gotten around to using HipTix. Guess I am going to have to use it for Pal Joey though. But I doubt they are going to make sure that your birthdate matches up with whatever is on file. They will probably just make sure you are 18.
Wat,
Check your PM-- (my server from work pretty bad, so not sure if it got to ya)
I've never bought HipTix tickets over the phone, just in person at the box office, but I've never been asked for ID. They just check that you are a registered HipTix member (for which you have to be 18-35). I've also never been IDed when entering the theater on show night.

I'm confused as to how this works! I typed in the code and it said I qualified, but after that what do you do? Choose the first preview date and then see if any in the rear mezz show up? So confused...

Are PMs not working? Testing, I PMed you...
Shucks. Roundabout, do you have any more tickets for the starving students?

Bummer. This is what happens when one sleeps. Student rush/Hiptix it is! I'm not really complaining, though. I've just never managed to get the $10 tickets!
If there's an extra, I'd love to take it off of someone's hands!
Normally, Roundabout seems to release more $10 tickets a few at a time (after the initial bunch go on sale) - They have not done that with "Pal Joey" so far, but its still early, so you never know.
I ended up with a few extras, as one of my friends has to go out of state, to be with family.

shira - Once again, try HipTix. It's free to sign up and it gets you a ticket for $21.50

Yeah I still don't get how Hiptix works though. I wanted to get Hiptix to "Streamers," but I'm not sure how to maneuverer that.
