While we're on the topic of cast albums, do you prefer the Original Broadway cast recording of Parade or the revised version by the Donmar Warehouse?

Definitely the original, personally. The only thing about the Donmar recording that I really love is that part in the finale when the whole ensemble sings a capella.

The OBC is much grander and doesn't have terrible southern accents.

That is definitely one of the best parts of the album.

I love the OBC, but I've recently been listening to a b**tleg recording of the recent concert and I've been loving that.

The performances, sound, orchestrations and yes, even the material are all superior on the OBC. What a shame that version is no longer available to license.
